We’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Support Worker to join our lively and creative Specialist SEND Provision in the Leeds area. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with individuals with SEND (whether children or adults) and a passion for supporting young people with unique needs. Individuals with experience working with children or adults with SEN (previous classroom experience is a plus) A warm and caring personality with the ability to make connections and engage students Creative thinkers who can adapt to each child’s needs and bring new ideas to lessons and activities Great communicators who can collaborate with a diverse team of specialists Team players who can create a safe, positive environment where children feel supported and motivated to learn Flexibility and a willingness to assist with personal care if needed About the Role:

Work in a specialist setting supporting children with autism, social, emotional, and mental health needs, or physical disabilities Play a key role in the classroom, helping to engage and inspire students while supporting their individual learning journey Provide individual support to children, assisting them in overcoming challenges and building confidence Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Speech and Language Therapists, Art Therapists, and other specialists, to create tailored learning experiences Contribute to a fun, nurturing, and safe environment where every child can thrive. Hours: 8.30-3.30, Monday – Friday. Part time applications are also welcomed. Why You’ll Love This Role:

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
