Join one of Scotland's leading commercial law firms as a Solicitor in the Clean Energy Real Estate team!
Applicants will ideally have 2-5 years of PQE working in a similar area or have commercial property or rural property experience and a genuine interest in working within the renewable energy sector. The role could be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow and also offers hybrid working.
The team specialise in advising developers, investors and funders on projects in the clean energy sector. The work will include advising clients on the real estate aspects of developments involving technologies such as offshore wind, onshore wind, solar and battery storage. The role involves a blend of transactional and advisory work.
They are enjoying a period of growth which is expected to continue for the foreseeable future, and are known throughout the firm as friendly and supportive. This is an opportunity to work with experienced colleagues and to advise some of the key players in the renewable energy industry.
The successful candidate can expect to enjoy a degree of autonomy commensurate with ability, taking transactions from beginning to end, including:
Drafting documents
Corresponding with other firms
Handling completions
Regular client contact is a feature of the role. The position requires the ability to be well organised and handle a significant volume of work, sometimes to demanding deadlines.
There are also secondment opportunities available.
