Facilities Manager What’s the Role?

As our Cleaning Manager, you will lead and inspire a fantastic team of 12 cleaning professionals to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities. Your leadership will ensure a sparkling environment for everyone who visits and works at David Lewis! What You’ll Be Doing:

Leading the Team : Supervise, motivate, and develop a team of 12 cleaners to work together efficiently and deliver top-notch results. Keeping Things Clean : Oversee daily cleaning operations, ensuring all areas are pristine and meet David Lewis’ cleanliness standards. Scheduling Success : Develop and implement cleaning schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed promptly and thoroughly. Health & Safety Champion : Ensure all cleaning procedures follow health and safety standards, keeping both staff and the environment safe. Training & Development : Provide training and guidance to your team on cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety protocols. Inventory Control : Manage cleaning supplies and maintain cost-effective use of resources. Collaborating Across Teams : Work closely with other departments to keep all areas of the facility looking spotless, from offices to meeting rooms.

What We’re Looking For:

Leadership Experience : You’ve led a team, preferably in a cleaning or facilities management role and know how to bring out the best in people. Cleaning Know-How : You have a strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, equipment, and health and safety regulations. Organized & Proactive : You excel at time management and can juggle multiple tasks with ease. Great Communication : You know how to communicate clearly with staff, management, and other departments. Flexible & Adaptable : You’re happy, on infrequent occasion, to work varying hours, including weekends or holidays when needed.

Desirable:

Previous experience managing a team or cleaning team of a similar size. Health and safety certifications (e.g., COSHH, First Aid).
