Cleaning Supervisor to join the Terminal Operations Team at Liverpool John Lennon Airport. The role is for a period of

7 months

in the first instance. The hours are 42 per week, worked on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (2 days/2 nights). Reporting to the Cleaning Manager, you will ensure that cleaning schedules and planned regimes are carried out across the airport site, whilst ensuring the safety of our passengers and colleagues. The successful candidate will supervise and work as part of a team across the airport site, covering public terminal areas, airfield offices, outdoor car parks, various retail units, and offsite offices to ensure that cleanliness and safety of the airport site is maintained to our exceptionally high standards at all times. Proven people management experience is essential as duties will include: planning and allocating daily tasks, colleague training, internal audits, maintaining accurate recording logs, becoming an expert in all equipment used onsite, colleague performance evaluation, managing team roster/annual leave, and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for coordinating the cleaning of spillages and leaks, emptying bins, glass and chrome cleaning, snow gritting, dusting, filling up consumables, reporting faults internally, collection of baggage trolleys, and toilets and floor cleaning using specialized equipment, along with any other ad-hoc duties that may arise. Coordinating and undertaking deep cleaning of all areas at various levels is to be carried out according to periodic schedules. This is a fast-paced environment and can be a physically demanding role at times.
