Our client in Gold Coast is a busy professional painting services company. They are seeking a skilled Painting Trades Worker to join their team.
This is a full-time role with an annual salary of $74,080 plus superannuation and will be based in Gold Coast.
The Duties
Erect and dismantle restricted height scaffolding and work safely at heights Operate elevated work platforms Apply OHS requirements, policies, and procedures in the construction industry Erect and maintain trestle and plank system Handle painting and decorating materials Use painting and decorating tools and equipment Remove and replace doors and door and window components Prepare surfaces for painting Apply paint by brush and roller Apply texture coat paint finishes by brush, roller, and spray Apply paint by spray Apply stains and clear timber finishes Remove graffiti and apply protective coatings Apply protective paint coating systems Implement safe lead paint and asbestos work practices in the painting industry Apply intumescent coatings Apply advanced decorative paint finishes Apply trowelled texture coat first The Requirements
At least 1 year experience in a domestic painting role in the painting and decorating industry At least 1 year experience in a wide range of painting techniques, including faux finishes, marbling, graining, and fresco At least 1 year experience in chemical stripping, abrasive blasting, and power washing techniques Must have construction induction card Specialised for New Housing painting Good understanding of colour theory and various finish types Physical dexterity to climb ladders, carry heavy equipment, and stand for long periods of time Additional tickets, EWP, and relevant licenses will be looked upon favourably
