Responsible for assisting in the operation of the retail shops and executing the standards for the brand they represent. Ensure excellent customer service, maximize financial return, and foster a great work environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide guests with the highest level of customer service. Smile, and offer assistance. Know all aspects of lottery ticket sales. Follow all register and cash procedures. Adhere to established discount policies. Be alert, maintain security awareness in the store. Process sales and enter them accurately into the POS system. Receive payment from customer and process change. Assist Retail Operations Supervisor with merchandising, accounting for damaged and/or wasted items, ensuring that the stock is replenished daily in the Concept. Ensure that all orders are properly checked in and any transferred items are properly accounted for to assist with end of month inventory count. In the absence of the Supervisor, handle guest complaints and/or follow up on any pending complaints in a timely manner to ensure high guest satisfaction. Ensure to properly comply with the void, return and exchange policies set forth by Company Policy. Complete and submit all paperwork that is due on a daily, weekly, or monthly to the Retail Supervisor. Ensure proper pricing of merchandise. Maintain a smooth selling floor. Ensure employees are implementing store promotions and sales contests. Represent the “Specialty Brand” to the highest level and ensure that all team members are executing the standards. Comply with the company’s recycling program standards. Work safely, following all established safety rules and regulations. Oversee cashiers’ variances solving transactions and mistakes, and audit cashier banks. Conduct formal and informal training for subordinates. Set the example for the Brands. Ensure effective communication within the department and company. Carry out daily directives given by the Retail Manager, Assistant Retail Manager and/or Retail Supervisor. Follow all relevant rules and regulations. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS: Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION: High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required. Must possess good math skills. Must possess computer proficiency with Microsoft Word. Must possess good oral and written communication skills. Must possess good customer service and leadership skills. Must be able to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations. Must present an overall professional appearance. Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights as scheduled. Must be able to successfully pass a background check. Must be able to speak, read and write English.
