Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage service charge budgets and year-end accounts for residential properties.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing of service charges, working closely with property managers.
- Reconcile service charge accounts, including variance analysis and adjustments.
- Liaise with tenants, leaseholders, and external auditors regarding service charge queries and disputes.
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
- Assist in forecasting and financial planning for the residential team.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in service charge accounting, ideally within residential property management.
- Strong knowledge of relevant UK legislation, including the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Qube, Yardi, or similar).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
