Role/ Department: A vacancy has arisen in our Private Equity (PE) Operations team. This team offers first-class service to a large PE client and works closely to ensure deliverables are met. Key components of the role include liaising with internal teams and the Investment Advisor, oversight, review and approval of cash management tasks, investor administration, and dealing with ad-hoc queries as they arise, all within scheduled timeframes and ensuring that all client KPIs are met. This will also include the expectation of achieving signatory status once the probationary period is complete. In addition to client reporting, this role will work closely with the senior management of the department and will be expected to cover internal reporting in respect of the client team, including items such as KPIs, risk reviews, and risk/regulatory reporting. The key responsibilities of the role include: Ensure effective communication processes are used within your area, consistent with the Company’s communications strategy and standards. Be fully briefed/familiar with the issues to be considered by the Board of client entities. Ensure that operational arrangements are clearly established at the inception of a fund and are regularly updated. Provide premier client service by building strong relationships with the Investment Advisor and any other third parties. Develop a thorough knowledge of your client and their bespoke requirements regarding key processes. Work closely with the client to resolve queries. Collaborate with other teams within NT to ensure delivery of client deliverables. Present operational matters to the Board of Directors. Develop, train, and motivate your team to achieve business objectives. Promote the continuous development of relevant knowledge and skills through effective use of the appraisal process, interim reviews, coaching, and evaluation of results. Skills/ Qualifications: The successful candidate will benefit from having: Knowledge of the administration of Private Equity funds, including structures and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of Guernsey Company Law, POI and FNCC legislation, and Anti-Money Laundering legislation. Previous management experience and strong leadership skills. Experience in administration, desirable in Funds/Private Equity (not essential). Industry knowledge – understanding various financial instruments, local regulations, and laws. Business or financial services qualification or studying for the same. This is not essential but would be an advantage. Working with Us: As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
