This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Clinical Administrator to provide secretarial support to a Consultant Psychiatrist and liaise with the wider Psychiatry and MDT within the Community Learning Disability Service. The post holder needs to be skilled in prioritisation, have effective time management, and be flexible to respond to the needs of the service. The post holder must have the ability to use computer software and other electronic systems. You will be the first port of call to assist the Consultant Psychiatrist in supporting them to fulfil their duties. You may be a first point of contact for service users calling into CTPLD, and a friendly and helpful/responsive attitude is needed. The Northamptonshire Community Team for People with Learning Disability delivers specialist multi-disciplinary healthcare to adults who have a learning disability presenting with physical health needs, a mental illness, and/or challenging behaviour. The service provided is person-centred and tailored to the individual and their environment, taking into account their ethnic and cultural backgrounds and needs. We provide this through direct support, joint working with other services, and/or through offering consultancy to other professionals involved. A range of secretarial and clerical skills will be required to autonomously support the smooth running of day-to-day administration tasks for a designated Consultant. You will be pivotal in liaising with other medical secretaries in the team, enabling a cohesive team approach to facilitate outstanding compassionate care. It is essential you are able to provide support to the Consultant Psychiatrist whilst ensuring conflicting demands are managed, provide onboarding support with new medical staffing teams joining the team, as well as supporting medical trainees/placement students under the lead of the Consultant Psychiatrists. The post is based at St Mary's Hospital, Kettering, although the team provides cover for the Northamptonshire area. You will need to be able to travel to other team bases and NHFT sites as required; therefore, a UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes are essential.
