Job Summary Quayside Medical Practice, Newhaven is looking for a part-time administrator to join our friendly and experienced team. Previous administration experience is essential, and previous experience within a GP practice is desirable. Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent I.T. and communication skills with an ability to pay attention to detail. They must be self-motivated and adaptable to work within a changing NHS and to thrive with the demand of working in a busy general practice environment. Main Duties Provide general administrative support to the Doctors, Health professionals, and management team. This will involve completing a wide range of daily administrative tasks including scanning and filing documents, dealing with incoming post and emails, processing new patient registrations and deductions, actioning tasks from the clinical team in a timely manner, summarising patient records, writing protocols, and many other administrative duties. Work cooperatively within a mixed team of receptionists, administrators, and clinical staff to develop and facilitate good team-working. Use your own judgement and communication skills to ensure that patient queries and issues are dealt with in a logical and non-disruptive manner. Person Specification The ideal candidate will have an admirable attitude to work, be a team player, work well under pressure, and have good time management. You must possess excellent organisational skills, this is an important attribute. You must also demonstrate a natural aptitude for picking up new skills quickly and easily and have a methodical approach to work. Working Pattern Tuesday 1pm-6.30pm Wednesday 8am-1pm Thursday 2pm-6.30pm Friday 8am-1pm & 2pm-6.30pm Job Types:
