Clinical Application Specialist KeyMed (Medical & Industrial Equipment) Ltd. (OKM) | Chief Manufacturing and Supply Officer | Full-time position Are you eager to kick-start your career in the MedTech industry and make a meaningful impact in healthcare? Olympus invites you to join us as a Clinical Application Specialist in the UK (internally called Uptime Support Manager). In this role, you’ll support healthcare professionals in ensuring the safe use of endoscopes and improving patient outcomes, offering you valuable hands-on experience in medical technology.

Who are we looking for? We’re seeking an enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for patient-focused care. If you thrive working independently, enjoy travel, and are excited about building relationships with healthcare professionals, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Whether your background is in teaching, healthcare, decontamination, or any people-focused role, your experience can help you excel in this role. We are particularly looking for candidates based in Bristol, Bath, or Cardiff and the surrounding areas.

Meet the Team You will work closely with Mark Stiles, the Regional Uptime Support Manager, who oversees the South of England region. On a day-to-day basis, you'll collaborate with the Territory Managers in your territory, forming a strong and supportive team. Mark's Uptime Support team itself is diverse, from a mix of age groups, genders, educational, and professional backgrounds, which creates a dynamic and inclusive work environment.

Your responsibilities

Reduce Repairs: Analyse repair data to identify trends and support customers in minimising equipment damage. Add Value to Service Contracts: Partner with customers who invest significantly in our service contracts. Build strong relationships and ensure they gain the most from their partnership with Olympus. Conduct Training: Deliver engaging, practical, and interactive training sessions for healthcare professionals on cleaning and handling endoscopes. Promote Best Practices: Emphasise the importance of proper equipment use and maintenance while confidently addressing challenges, including having difficult conversations about repair numbers. Collaborate and Engage: Work closely with a diverse team, including Territory Managers (TMs) and Regional Managers, while independently managing your territory. Build Relationships: Be socially adept, confident in presenting, and able to connect with people from all walks of life. Minimum Requirements

Valid UK work visa and driving license. Fluent oral and written communication skills in English. We’ve had great success hiring individuals with backgrounds in decontamination, working in a hospital/clinical setting, teaching/presenting, or telesales, as these experiences often translate well into this role. Passion for patient-focused work and improving healthcare outcomes, which is more important than previous industry experience. Strong communication and social skills, with the ability to confidently engage with people from all walks of life. Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel and PowerPoint. This is an entry-level role, and while relevant experience is helpful, we value passion for our patient-focused mission above all else. If you’re eager to make a difference and have the drive to learn, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits You will receive a competitive salary, company car or car allowance, structured performance reviews and development opportunities, a generous annual leave entitlement increasing with service, private healthcare and dental coverage as part of our benefits package (with minimal deductions), along with a fully funded annual BUPA health check. Other benefits include enhanced parental leave, cashback and discounts with major UK retailers, and so much more!

We are actively reviewing applications and encourage you to apply if this opportunity fits your career goals. Our talent team will assess your submission and reach out as needed. Further information:
