About the role We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, talented, and inclusive clinical academic nursing leader to the position of Clinical Associate Professor in Children’s and Neonatal Nursing. This exciting appointment is a collaborative effort between the School of Healthcare at the University of Leicester and University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a clinical-academic leader within the field of children’s and neonatal nursing, you will collaborate and work independently across both organisations. The post-holder will develop and deliver research programs aligned with the priorities of neonates and children in acute care; build research capacity and capability for health and care professionals; supervise staff and students in conducting research; and contribute to a culture of research through knowledge exchange, outreach, and impact activities. About you You will be able to mobilise strong problem-solving capabilities, work effectively both independently and as part of a team, build relationships with a wide range of professional, patient, and public stakeholders, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Educated to PhD level, with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (UK) in children’s nursing, you will bring to this post extensive research experience evidenced by contributions to high quality peer-reviewed publications and a track record of grant capture. You will have experience of leading collaborative research projects and building successful collaborations with industry/charity partners.
