As part of an exciting expansion to our Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service in Cornwall, we are seeking to recruit a qualified Clinical Associate Psychologist (CAPs). This post will join our established psychological services team within EIP, consisting of Clinical Psychologists, Family Therapists, and CBT therapists. The post will be based with our West EIP Team. Our CAP’s work closely with other members of our psychological services team and the EIP MDT. They will provide psychological assessments and therapies to EIP clients and families/carers, and support the wider MDT with psychological aspects of care.

Supervision and ongoing support and training will be provided to enable you to develop your expertise, and we have close links with both Exeter and Plymouth Universities.

Main duties of the job

To be accountable for delivering psychological assessments, formulations, interventions and research within their scope of practice. Undertake regular clinical psychology supervision in accordance with British Psychological Society (BPS) standards for accredited practice; understanding clinical supervision provides opportunities for others to review and modify their practice, maintain high professional standards of competence and to enhance the delivery of individualised care. To manage a caseload while undertaking their own clinical programmes of work, within their scope of practice. Person specification

Qualifications/skills

1st psychology degree Registered as part of the wider psychological workforce with the BPS Experience of working as a qualified CAP in secondary MH setting Experience of working within acute adult mental health or CAMHS setting Experience of working with people experiencing psychosis The Trust reserves the right to close this advert once a sufficient number of applications have been submitted.
