As part of our newly adopted structure within Clinical Coding Services, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Band 6 Clinical Coding Liaison Specialist who can lead our Salford Royal site-based clinical coding team in collaboration with other site-based Liaison Specialists, Managers, Auditors, and Trainers. Flexible working and part home or remote working can be accommodated. Main Responsibilities

As a Clinical Coding Liaison Specialist, you will have full line management responsibilities of the clinical coders and support staff, including but not limited to: Planning and organizing workloads Supporting staff well-being Conducting appraisals and one-to-one conversations Managing welcome back health meetings Implementing absence management policies Overseeing performance management The Clinical Coding Liaison Specialist is responsible for leading engagement and collaboration with clinical groups and communicating complex coding rules, standards, and information to ensure the coded data accurately reflects the clinical care provided. The post holder will ensure accurate, timely, and robust coded data to support the organization's data and correct reimbursement through NHS Payment Systems. They will work closely with clinical colleagues to advise on data recording and documentation practices to ensure clinical coding and data quality principles are adhered to. The post holder will work as part of the central coding team alongside other coders and with other liaison specialists as part of a more expert team, sharing knowledge and providing support. Qualifications

Accredited Clinical Coder status (ACC) / NCCQ Degree or equivalent level with relevant experience Knowledge

Current Clinical Coding Standards Refresher (CCSRC) Knowledge of classifications and terminology including SNOMEDCT Management and leadership skills Practical experience of using EPR, PAS, and Encoder Disclosure and Barring Service Check
