An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a motivated Nurse Deputy Home Manager to work in an exceptional care home based in Houghton-le-Spring, Tyne & Wear. You will be working for one of the UK's leading health care providers. This care home offers both residential dementia care and nursing dementia care for residents who require it. They also provide respite care to give family or friends a well-earned break, and specialist care for residents who suffer from mental health conditions. To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin. As the Deputy Manager your key responsibilities include: Lead and inspire the team to deliver special experiences to residents, promoting choice and independence to make a positive difference in their lives. Achieve the highest possible standards of care and enhance the resident experience, ensuring that all company policies, regulations, Codes of Conduct, and care plans are adhered to. Work with the Home Manager to implement care home policies around standards care, staff welfare, and training, developing an excellent reputation. Develop personal contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors to enhance the residents' quality of life. Deputise in the overall management of the care home, including the production of reports, budgets, and Quality of Life monitoring. Take responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of yourself and others, including colleagues, residents, and visitors to the Home, alerting the officers responsible to any hazards or potential risks to health and safety. Ensure the team attends training days and courses to maintain learning records and develop individuals. The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role: Experience of managing a team, ensuring all staff are supervised appropriately and rotas are in place to enable the smooth, efficient running of the home. Experience in quality and clinical governance programmes, including audits and care services. Able to support and guide others in line with the NMC Code, following its guidance at all times. Driven and motivated, believing in quality care. An energetic, committed, and approachable manager. An inspiring leader who can motivate teams through evident passion and commitment. A natural networker with both internal and external stakeholders. The successful Deputy Manager will receive an excellent salary of £20.00 per hour, with an annual salary of £40,040 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full-time role for 38.5 hours a week working through day shifts.
