We present an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon seeking career advancement or an existing Clinical Director to lead a well-established hospital team in Sheffield - the Northern Capital of Cool' according to The Times. Sheffield, known as The Steel City, boasts a rich industrial history and has transformed into a vibrant university city with a cool urban edge.

Our client is a distinguished RCVS Veterinary Hospital committed to delivering top-notch, accessible healthcare for clients' pets. The practice features 4 spacious consulting rooms, 2 operating theatres, separate cat, dog, and isolation wards, dedicated dental and imaging rooms, and is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical tools expected of an RCVS Hospital practice.

Joining an adept team of 8.5 Vets, including Certificate holders in Dermatology, Feline Medicine, Small Animal Medicine, and Ophthalmology, with others pursuing Certificates in Surgery and Diagnostic Imaging, you will be supported by an excellent nursing and client care team.

This role offers excitement, variety, and stimulation. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will have line manager responsibilities, including overseeing the Lead Vet. While maintaining a significant clinical focus with consultations, surgery, in-patient care, and diagnostics, you will also dedicate time to mentor and coach colleagues, fostering their professional growth. The clinical to non-clinical ratio is open for discussion, providing flexibility for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced vet ready for career progression or an established Clinical Director with a passion for leading and developing a highly regarded RCVS Veterinary Hospital. Join a team that is engaged, friendly, and supportive in delivering exceptional veterinary care.

The Rota: • Full time - 40 hour week • 4 day working week • 1:7 weekends with TOIL the following week • 1 night OOH cover per week for in-patient care only
