We are looking for highly motivated, dynamic and innovative qualified Driving Tutors to join our team to inspire new and existing staff, delivering a range of educational programmes.
You will be based at one of our Education Centres at Brentside (West London) or Dockside (East London).
You must meet the essential criteria required in the in-person specification.
Main duties of the job
Provide approved driver training within the scope of the Education & Standards department, delivering driver education and training to all grades of clinical and support staff within the Trust. This will take place: Within education centres in a formal classroom setting and virtual classrooms Within an operational environment where there may be patient interaction On operational vehicles In external environments to support partner education programmes
Deliver these activities, as scheduled to meet the demands of the agreed training plan, including the monitoring and mentoring of all learner activities. Actively involved in promoting best practice across the service whilst maintaining compliance with local and national policies and standards. Ensuring all Awarding/Accrediting bodies' requirements are adhered to and met, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, directives and policies, including role-modelling exemplary driving standards.

Level 4 Diploma Emergency Response Ambulance Driving Instructor Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training (QCF) or equivalent Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or equivalent Current DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) registration Full, C1 driving licence, valid in the UK and no more than 3 penalty points
Desirable
Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
Experience
Essential
Demonstrate ability to facilitate training in both a classroom and operational environment. Recent experience of developing and delivering driver training programmes. Experience of supervising and mentoring staff. Experience of assessing people and providing reports on findings.
Knowledge & Skills
Essential
Demonstrate ability to drive under emergency response conditions to the requirements of high-speed driver regulations. Effective people management skills. Ability to adapt and maintain flexibility within a changing organisation. Ability to work at any LAS site.
