Patient Safety & Quality Department About the role:

Do you have credible clinical knowledge and a passion for improving patient outcomes? An opportunity has arisen for an experienced clinician to join the Patient Safety and Quality Team at Health NZ, Te Matau a Maui Hawke’s Bay to be part of and actively influence patient safety and excellence in care. The Patient Safety and Quality Team is developing to ensure it is responsive and provides a quality service to business partners as they strive to improve patient outcomes and embed a culture where patient safety and quality are fundamental pillars to success. Close engagement with patients and whanau to undertake timely review and identification of opportunities for improvement where potential harm has occurred is a key part of the role. If you have an enquiring mind, strong analytical skills, a passion to improve patient care, and exceptional communication skills, this role may be for you. Skills and experience:

A sound knowledge of clinical governance and improvement methodology will enable the Clinical Event Lead to effectively drive, navigate, and build capability and capacity within Group Leadership teams to support them to deliver on key quality and patient safety workstreams.
