We are looking for a junior clinical fellow with existing CAMHS experience, currently working within the NHS, and who is looking to enter into specialty training in the near future. This is a full-time post that offers exposure to both core and neurodevelopmental psychiatric cases of varying complexity. The applicant is expected to be able to work independently with minimal supervision and work well as a team.

Main Duties of the Job
Taking part in the duty team, assessing and formulating management for young people with mental health needs. Assessing risks and working in a holistic multidisciplinary way. Familiarity with prescribing within CAMHS remit.

Job Responsibilities
This full-time post is aimed at candidates who are currently working within the NHS with CAMHS experience. This is only a 6-month term with candidates planning to enter into specialty training at the end of the term. The candidate is expected to be independent, dedicated, and exhibit sufficient clinical skill to manage both core and neurodevelopmental cases within CAMHS with confidence and competence. The candidate is expected to be able to independently conduct mental state examinations, give clinical impressions, render psychoeducation, and explain a proposed management plan with young people and their families independently with minimal supervision. Candidates are also expected to work with the rest of the CAMHS team in a multidisciplinary manner to offer holistic and comprehensive care.

Essential Knowledge of Neurodevelopmental conditions - for eg: Autism and ADHD and how they are assessed and treated in children and young people.
