Job Summary

Applications are invited for the post of a Clinical Fellow Higher (ST3-5) in Medicine for the Elderly at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to commence from 05 February 2025 until 02 September 2025.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Department of Medicine for the Elderly as we develop services within the Trust. Applicants will be expected to provide StR Level (ST3+) medical cover as part of the Acute Frailty team (Acute Frailty Assessment Unit) and a core 27 bedded DME bed on rotation.

There will be an opportunity to gain excellent experience in the management of frail older patients to develop your PDP. There may also be opportunities to attend outpatient clinics and service evaluations if this is of interest to the successful applicant.

Main Duties of the Job

In addition to working within the department of Medicine for the Elderly, there is a contribution to the General Internal Medicine Registrar rota (total commitment TBC). About Us

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
