The role is contracted at 40 hours per week (full time) for a fixed term of 12 months. This role does not currently have an agreed rota commitment. The post holder will be employed by The Christie NHS Foundation Trust and will be based at The Christie. The successful applicant would be expected to work alongside consultants and trainees in out-patient clinics, supervising chemotherapy delivery and performing on-treatment reviews and follow-up assessments.
Main Duties of the Job
Responsibility for attending outpatients at The Christie and peripheral sites and supporting the ORTC outpatient chemotherapy unit. In the out-patient clinics, they will review and manage patients on chemotherapy, review patients, and new patients, all under the clinical supervision of the team consultant. Expected to teach junior medical staff, medical students, and nurses on occasion. Participate in audit and research.
