The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Clinical Governance team. As a proactive member of the team, acting as an ambassador for the service, the post holder will often act as the first line of contact for staff seeking assistance regarding the reporting and reviewing of incidents and as such, will need to deliver an excellent and consistent standard of interpersonal skills. Main duties of the job

Meeting Management To organise and co-ordinate key clinical governance meetings across the Trust, including preparing agendas, collating, filing and chasing papers, minute taking and maintaining an action log, forward scheduling in accordance with the groups' cycle of business/forward plan. Key meetings include but may not be limited to: • Patient Safety Group • Clinical Outcomes and Effectiveness Group • Mortality Group • Deteriorating Patient Group • Thrombosis Group Clinical Governance Support To provide administrative support to the Patient Safety and Clinical audit team including but not limited to: Requesting and collating clinical records. Providing administrative support for Incident Investigations. Datix Administration : Datix is an information system used by the Trust to record and report patient safety incidents. The post-holder will support the patient safety team in the administrative review of incidents via the Datix system, escalating incidents of concern to the patient safety manager and clinical governance facilitators. General Administration To maintain the departmental roster e.g., annual leave via the Trust electronic roster system. To raise and manage orders and requisitions for general office supplies e.g., paper, ink toner, general stationery etc. Organise, maintain and systematically file electronic documents. Support the clinical governance team in collating information from IT systems and other media as required. Educated to GCSE level (including English and mathematics) or equivalent practical knowledge and experience. Experience of working in an administrative role. Experience of minute taking. Experience of working as part of a team. Experience of analysing problems and identifying solutions. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Ability to use MS Outlook/NHS.net i.e., email, meeting scheduling and calendar management. NHS experience. An understanding of Clinical Governance.
