Main duties of the job Key Responsibilities: Oversee the clinical operations of home healthcare services, ensuring high standards of care. Provide clinical leadership and support to healthcare teams, including Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants. Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Conduct regular audits and quality assurance checks to maintain and improve care standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review individualised care plans for clients. Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for clinical staff. Act as a point of contact for clinical issues and provide expert advice and support. Ensure effective communication and collaboration with clients, families, and external healthcare providers. Monitor and report on clinical performance metrics and outcomes. Participate in recruitment and selection of clinical staff. Job description Role Overview: We are looking for a Clinical Lead to join our team, who will play a pivotal role in overseeing the clinical safety of our home healthcare services. This position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality care to our clients. The Clinical Lead will provide clinical leadership, support, and guidance to our healthcare teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting best practices in patient care. This role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract and is office-based. It can be located at our Heywood, Wolverhampton, or Peterborough offices, with the option to work from home one day per week. Due to our digitalisation project that will be starting in 2025 we will require the successful applicant to play a key role in the planning and implementation of the project alongside the project team. We will be moving over to digital care records from a paper-based system. The project is set to run across 2025/26 and duties will include: Mapping clinical processes out ready for digitalisation. Creation of client profiles to be built into the system. Supporting the input and migration of clinical data in the system. Providing training and support to Clinical Nurse Specialists in the field. Becoming a Superuser of the new digital system. Supporting with the creation of digital clinical paperwork to match the client profile. Management and auditing of the system once we go live. Skills and Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC PIN Extensive experience in a clinical leadership role, preferably in home healthcare or a similar setting. Strong knowledge of clinical practices, guidelines, and regulations. Excellent leadership and management skills. Proficiency in using healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR). Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with clinical advancements. Personal Qualities: Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. High level of integrity and professionalism. Ability to inspire and motivate clinical teams. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic healthcare environment. Candidates must hold a UK Driving Licence, have access to their own vehicle and be within a commutable distance of our offices. Please note, this role will support out of hours escalation on a rota basis and will also involve weekly travel across our network of offices.
