Job summary Are you a Learning Disability Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Speech and Language therapist with a keen interest in Learning Disabilities? A rare opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Lead to work within our welcoming and friendly Adult Learning Disabilities Team in Salford! You'll be great at multi-tasking, have an approachable style, and be able to utilise a range of tools and techniques to support individuals and teams. You'll be great at relationship building. Applicants must have a "can do" attitude with excellent communication skills and experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team. Good IT skills and access to your own transport is required. Experience of successful change management and delivering education and training is desirable. Main duties of the job Lead and support the leads for Physiotherapy, Speech and Language and Occupational Therapy with the Learning Disability Service. You will take a clinical lead role in supporting people with Learning Disabilities to experience improved health, well-being, life skills, and integration into their community, actively contributing to the development and delivery of the MDT response to the current and emerging needs of people with Learning Disabilities in Salford. Person Specification Qualifications Essential Qualification in Learning Disability Nursing or Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language or Physiotherapy Active registration with HCPC or NMC Knowledge Essential Experience and skill in providing guidance/support/advice to carers and providers that constructively challenges current practise.
