We have a Band 7 Clinical Lead role secondment opportunity within the Birkenhead CMHT. The secondment would run up to the end of January 2026.

An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for an experienced practitioner to become part of community services and become a key player in the transformation agenda. As a Clinical Lead, you will be expected to have a sound knowledge of the transformation programme and the NHS long-term plan and use this to support the teams through the transformation process.

Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality expert clinical support, supervision, and guidance to staff within the team. Participate in developing evidence-based practice within the service. Drive best practice and continuous improvement, including embedding new and innovative practices. Complete the Non-Medical Prescribing qualification as part of this role.

The post holder will have excellent management and leadership skills and advanced knowledge of both adult and older adult mental health problems.

CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health, and all-age disability care – including the provision of three GP surgeries.
