We have a hugely varied and integral Clinical Lead role (equivalent to 8B NHS banding) within our award-winning Criminal Justice service with the scope to shape and develop the way we support people who've experienced mental distress in a person-centred way. The service has multiple projects working within courts, prisons, probation, and the community, and the role will guide and manage the way our practitioners work alongside people to provide mental health support in all these stages of the criminal justice system. We take great pride in the work we do, and as a charity working with people on a voluntary basis, our teams can be agile and reactive, and this role will reflect that looking at the most effective as well as new ways we can provide support. The right candidate for the role will have a Forensic or Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy, or Psychiatric Nursing background, but unlike in similar roles that exist in other settings, will have autonomy and freedom to be decisive and instil reforms and new ideas to improve service provision working for a charity. Maintaining high quality and governance standards is integral to the role, and the post holder will work closely with senior managers to support them to deliver that while also valuing the wellbeing of teams and appreciating the demanding nature of the work. The post is based at our head office in Kennington, South London, although flexible working is incorporated and 1-2 days a week in-office will be the maximum required combined with working from home.
