We are currently looking for a Clinical Lead Nurse to work within our Adult Mental health inpatient service at West Park Hospital Darlington.
We wish to recruit a highly motivated, flexible, and enthusiastic individual to assist in delivering high quality care across a busy and acute inpatient service. You will need to be able to be dynamic, resilient, have excellent communication skills and be a positive role model.
You will be responsible for the delivery of the clinical service and will lead practice development and service development initiatives to ensure continual quality improvement. You will support the Ward Manager and leadership team, supervising team members, monitoring and reporting on the team's performance, as well as maintaining a direct care role.
Candidates must have 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Lead will ensure high quality care is maintained at all times whilst providing effective practice leadership. They will support the Ward Manager/Deputy Ward Manager with safe staffing and delivery of supervision/appraisals, and provide assurance to the Clinical Specialist Nurse and Matron via the completion of audit and quality initiatives.
The Clinical Lead will be responsible for a named area of in-patient care but provide support and leadership across the site. They will support staff well-being ensuring daily challenges are discussed and debriefs held.

Current professional registration with Nursing & Midwifery Council. RMNH/RNLD Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
