Newcastle Psychiatric Liaison Team are offering an exciting Band 7 Clinical Lead opportunity. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate collective leadership to work within the multi-disciplinary team, and to work closely with the senior management team. As a clinical lead, you will be expected to provide support, advice and supervision to the team and ensure operational efficiency of clinical pathways. The clinical lead will be expected to demonstrate excellent clinical skills and knowledge in working with service users covering an service that currently provides input to into the 16 years and older. The successful post holder will be expected to demonstrate strong commitment to high quality client care, good organisational skills and be able to demonstrate prioritisation of workload. Ensuring the service is safe, effective, and responsive. Main duties of the job

The main roles of this post are to provide clinical leadership and provide clinical expertise in formulating treatment plans and interventions within the scope of our MDT and service. The successful post holder will also provide clinical supervision & clinical guidance on those service users requiring ongoing review and treatment whilst on clinical caseload. The role also comes with the expectation that a successful Clinical Lead can develop and foster supportive links within the acute hospital trust our service serves and develop productive working relationships to better serve our service users. Registered Mental Health Nurse/ Registered Learning Disability Nurse (as appropriate) or equivalent relevant professional qualification Mentorship Qualification Relevant Clinical Training and post graduate Qualification Skills and competencies
