Part Time Band 8 Clinical Lead for the Integrated Young Persons Substance Misuse Service (part time 20.5 hrs weekly) The Matthew Project's Substance Misuse Service for young people under the age of 19 UNITY has a new and exciting opportunity. We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative part time Band 8 Clinical Lead to work closely with the Service Manager to support staff over the next year to deliver excellent outcomes for young people impacted by substance use across Norfolk. The base for this post is Norwich but you will support the team across Norfolk. The role will be carried out mainly at the Norwich base with some remote working; the ability to travel is desirable. This post is currently 2.5 days a week, but days of work can be negotiated for the right candidate. Main duties of the job

To be part of the leadership of a multi-disciplinary team, providing holistic and multi-dimensional care to young people with drug and alcohol related issues. Oversea the provision of a clinical response to young people who require specialist interventions as part of a holistic treatment service. Cases are co-worked within the team and jointly managed with other agencies and services across the county where appropriate. Support the provision of a dedicated and specialist response to the clinical needs of young people aged 11-18 with significant and complex drug and alcohol related problems. To provide consultations, advance information and support to professional colleagues and individual young people as required. To share expertise with other professionals, agencies and services in both the statutory and non-statutory sectors. About us

Experience

Extensive experience in substance misuse and / or Youth mental Health Experience at band 7 or above within a community/mental health environment Qualifications

Management qualification or willingness to undertake Trust ILM Certificate Higher award in nursing i.e. diploma/degree Skills

Experience in provision of Clinical supervision, case management and appraisals. Management of budget. Knowledge

Knowledge of substance misuse issues including national policy and practice. Experience and knowledge of research and audit. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
