Knowsley community therapy team is seeking a committed Band 7 Clinical Lead Physiotherapist to join our service supporting patients and staff through shared care within their localities. The post holder will provide expertise and advice in the treatment of highly complex conditions and mentorship to those within the community therapy team. They will have continuing responsibility for the management of a defined caseload and a coordination role of the daily activities. We are seeking a highly skilled, enthusiastic, and proactive therapist to work in collaboration with the service lead to support service modernisation and redesign, responding to the rehabilitation needs of adults 18+, who have multiple complex co-morbidities or support with discharge from the hospital setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our multi-disciplinary team, which consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Assistant Practitioners, and Therapy Assistants. Main duties of the job

Provide clinical leadership for staff, through supervision and PDR. Participate in planning, development and evaluation of services within the designated area/team, ensuring the delivery of the quality strategy. Manage a caseload of patients’ comorbidities as an autonomous practitioner, using evidence-based principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. Maintain clinical credibility by providing clinical care and supporting team members within the clinical environment. Act as an advocate for patients/clients in various forums and professional groups. Work in partnership with other professionals to enable service users/patients to be maintained in an appropriate environment, thus avoiding hospital admission. Contribute to the maintenance and development of the Physiotherapy profession within community therapy. Person specification
