We work in partnership with several NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups nationwide to provide patients with access to community services closer to their home. About the Job The Clinical Lead for Psychiatry with a focus on ADHD and Autism will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality clinical care to individuals with ADHD and Autism. The role will involve clinical leadership, pioneering different ADHD pathways, development of best practice guidelines and providing expert input into patient care. As the Clinical Lead, you will work with the Chief Medical Officer along with guiding and mentoring other clinical staff, contribute to service development and ensure compliance and relevant clinical standards. About the role Leading Clinical Services Lead and oversee the ADHD clinic or service, ensuring best practice, guidelines and clinical protocols are followed. Provide expert advice and support to the multidisciplinary team regarding assessment, diagnosis and treatment of ADHD. Supervise and mentor junior psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and other clinical staff involved in ADHD care. Participate in complex cases and multidisciplinary team meetings to offer clinical expertise and contribute to decision-making. Patient Care Conduct comprehensive assessments for individuals with suspected or diagnosed ADHD, ensuring a holistic approach that includes psychiatric, psychology and social factors. Develop personalised treatment plans that may include medication management, behavioural interventions and psychoeducation. Provide support to patients and their families, ensuring they understand the diagnosis, treatment options and support strategies. Service Quality and Improvement Lead and contribute to the development of ADHD services, ensuring they align with national guidelines and best practice standards. Participate in the development of clinical pathways, treatment protocols and other service improvement initiatives to enhance ADHD care. Ensure that all services meet legal and regulatory requirements and are compliant with professional standards. About you Must be a fully qualified psychiatrist with GMC registration. Additional qualifications in adult psychiatry with a focus on ADHD or significant experience working with ADHD populations. Significant experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of ADHD. Experience in leading or supervising clinical teams, with a track record of improving service quality. Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills, including experience with complex ADHD cases. Familiarity with national and international ADHD guidelines including NICE guidelines. *The position is subject to a successful disclosure at the appropriate level from Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and the provision of your right to work documentation.
