Clinical Leader Brentwood Hospital | Nursing | Permanent | Full Time Up to £43,000 per annum, depending on experience. 37.5 hours a week Main duties of the job

As a Clinical Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care are provided and: Support the Ward Senior Sister in the efficient running of the ward Co-ordinate activity and be instrumental to making sure patients receive seamless, personalised care Have the privilege of working directly with consultants, who are experts in their field Use your knowledge and skills in assessment, care planning and delivery to make a valuable contribution to the patient's experience Provide commitment to creating a supportive and enabling working culture on the ward, which promotes patient safety About us

Hospital facilities include 42 beds, 4 Theatres, an Endoscopy Suite, 16 consulting rooms, MRI, CT, General Imaging, Pathology, Physiotherapy, and an onsite Pharmacy. Nuffield Health is Britain's largest not-for-profit healthcare organisation. Join us as a Clinical Leader in our Brentwood Hospital and play your part in building a healthier nation. The Role includes: 42 inpatient and day case bedrooms 25 consultation rooms Four operating theatres Full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray We expect you to actively contribute to service development, policies and strategies, and identify opportunities. You will support individuals and teams to deliver high quality, clinically effective patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Along the way, you will build strong relationships with consultants, hospital senior leaders, a wide range of healthcare professionals and, of course, patients. Working collaboratively alongside the consultants, ensuring patients benefit from the best possible treatment and care. Qualifications

Registered with a relevant governing body, your specialist training includes a nursing/practitioner qualification and/or postgraduate courses. You have also got impressive senior level experience in a theatre setting. You will be accountable for leading, motivating and supervising a multidisciplinary team within theatres. A professional management qualification would also be an advantage, as you'll need to be equipped for business planning and development, audits and clinical governance, infection prevention, health and safety, and risk analysis. To succeed as a Clinical Leader you will have:

A wide range of nursing skills and knowledge, including care of patients pre and post operatively, following a wide range of surgical procedures. Excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic, forward thinking approach. Confidence working independently, as well as part of a team. Excellent leadership and ward management skills - including a commitment to role modelling good practice and developing staff members. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
