An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the North Worcestershire Community Learning Disability Team for a Band 7 Clinical Lead/Senior Clinician, based at the Princess of Wales Community Hospital, Bromsgrove. The post holder will have managerial and clinical skills, with experience in providing leadership and support to a committed team. The role is challenging, varied, and interesting and would include managing a small clinical caseload with regular visits to service users and their carers. The successful candidate will be passionate about ensuring individuals with a learning disability receive equitable health care. The service is currently involved in a number of developments, including RcPsych QNLD Accreditation, STOMP, Dementia pathways, and transitions pathways to better meet the needs of individuals with learning disabilities. Regular supervision and support will be provided as well as ongoing CPD and training to help further develop your skills and competencies in this specialist field. Ensure a consistent, safe, and timely service is delivered, including the processing and allocation of referrals, arranging assessment and day-to-day coordination of activity. Work flexibly in a managerial and clinical role. Support to staff within the Worcestershire Community Learning Disability Team. Carry out appraisals, in accordance with agreed policy and identify learning and development needs of staff. Assist the Service Manager in ensuring that the service achieves its aims in accordance with the organisation's performance agenda and business plan. Be responsible for service users on their caseload, including the process of assessment, care planning, monitoring, and review. Act as a senior/experienced member of the Community Learning Disability Team in relation to risk assessment giving advice and direction as required. Manage inspections and audits when required. Provide clinical/management supervision as appropriate to staff within the Community Learning Disability Team. Facilitate open communication amongst staff within the Community Learning Disability Team as well as with other teams, services, and agencies with the aim of promoting multi-disciplinary approaches to care and integrated team working.
