Main duties of the job

To be the conduit between the Care Group Quartet and the front-line clinical teams within their area of responsibility. Skilfully translating the organisational and Care Group objectives into operational reality and leading their implementation across their areas of responsibility.

This role will take the lead on quality, safety, and patient experience across St Michaels Hospital. The Clinical Matron will have responsibility for leading the RCHT Nursing, Midwifery, and Allied Health Professionals vision for the speciality, ensuring effective implementation of service objectives within the available resources.

The post holder will provide a focus and expert professional leadership to the nursing team to ensure a cohesive approach to a timely, effective, and high-quality service for patients.
