A highly regarded law firm in Manchester is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Negligence Paralegal to join their team. Key Responsibilities:- Assist solicitors with a variety of clinical negligence cases, from initial instruction through to resolution.
- Conduct legal research, gather medical records, and review case materials to support solicitors in building strong cases.
- Draft legal documents, correspondence, and witness statements under the supervision of solicitors.
- Liaise with clients, medical experts, and other third parties to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Assist with the preparation of cases for hearings, including compiling bundles and preparing briefs for counsel.
- Manage administrative tasks related to case management, including scheduling appointments, organising meetings, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Law graduate with at least 1 year of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in clinical negligence.
- Strong understanding of clinical negligence law and procedures.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Proficient in using case management systems and other legal software.
