An exciting vacancy has arisen for enthusiastic candidates to join the LUFT (Aintree site) Cardiac Rehabilitation service. The successful postholder will be responsible for providing Cardiac Rehabilitation to people in hospital, in community venues, in their home, and remotely.

Cardiac Rehabilitation is a vital part of recovery following a cardiac event or diagnosis. The Cardiac Rehab Team at LUFT accepts referrals for a wide range of cardiac conditions from the Cardiology wards, LHCH, or G.P. referrals. We aim to improve functional capacity, confidence, and return to normal as soon as possible through a program of individualised exercise and education, including diet, smoking cessation, and psychological support.

Part-time hours can be discussed at interview.

Our ideal applicants will have excellent interpersonal skills and leadership qualities. You will have drive, vision, and initiative to motivate others and develop the service. Excellent decision-making skills and evidence of continuous professional development are essential, and you must also have substantial, medicine-based, cardiology experience.

You will facilitate the management of your own caseload of patients, assess patients' health care needs and cardiovascular suitability for exercise, and support the phase 3 fitness classes as an essential part of your role. You will also need to have excellent written skills, be computer literate, and hold a clean driving licence.
