This is a fixed-term post of 12 months. (Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.) The shift pattern for this position is Monday - Friday. This post is based at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley. Are you looking for an opportunity to work with a forward-thinking, supportive and friendly Diabetes team? Are you keen to develop as a CNS? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the NHS Clyde Diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialist service. You will be responsible for the assessment, implementation and evaluation of care and education for individuals with diabetes as well as supporting their careers and families. You will support the Diabetes team with providing specialist care to meet the initial and ongoing needs of patients with diabetes, delivering nurse-led service as well as supporting and guiding other members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team. The post holder will: contribute to the development of guidelines and protocols locally and Board wide, provide evidence-based specialist intervention, education, and training programs for patients, health care professionals and other relative agencies. You will be part of a wider Diabetes Specialist team with cross-site working within the Clyde Sector. A professional qualification of RN and educated to degree level is essential. You should have previous diabetes experience at Band 5/6, and you will be expected to have excellent clinical, communication and time management skills, demonstrating an ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. The hours are 29.70 hrs to be worked over 4 days. This post will be a 12-month secondment. Informal contact:
