Clinical Nurse Specialist – Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust CAMHS We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Multi-Agency Psychological Support (MAPS) team for Children Looked After in Sheffield. You will provide specialist mental health support, including Attachment and Trauma work, to children in care. You will work with Social Care and other professionals to deliver interventions at multiple levels. Experience with children in care is beneficial but not essential – you’ll have the chance to learn through joint working, peer guidance, and training. Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Senior Clinical Nurse Manager, your responsibilities will include: Provide clinical and managerial leadership to support team development. Manage your own caseload, working independently and collaboratively with colleagues. Deliver assessments, treatment plans, and care for children, young people, and families. Offer a range of therapeutic interventions, ensuring holistic care in partnership with CAMHS, education, and social care teams. Provide expert clinical advice, with an understanding of therapeutic interventions and clinical management strategies. Ensure clinical governance principles are followed to maintain and improve quality care. Promote best practices in clinical risk management, health, safety, and workplace security. Qualifications/Training

Current RMN / RN (Mental Health) registration ENB 603 / Diploma in CAMH or equivalent or specialist post registration clinical training relevant to CAMHS Degree in relevant subject Teaching and Assessing ENB 998 / Mentorship or equivalent Completion of non-medical prescriber course Experience

Significant post registration experience including recent experience of Band 6 in a CAMHS Community setting Recruitment / Selection and general HR management Performing PDR's Post registration experience equivalent to Masters level Budget management Setting and auditing clinical standards Utilisation of research in practice Project Management Knowledge

Assessment and triage of referrals Knowledge of a broad range of therapy and approaches to treatment Clinical practice relevant to the speciality Legal Frameworks relevant to CAMHS MH Clinical Risk Management/Health and Safety Current Nursing/Health Issues Quality Assurance principles Skills and Abilities

Leadership - ability to build, develop and maintain relationships Operational Management Self Management - time/ organisational skills Excellent Communication/ interpersonal skills (verbal/ written) Specific clinical interventions/ strategies Skills in training and consultation Hold a current UK driving license and have access to a vehicle Negotiation and influencing Attributes
