Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Clinical Support Worker within the Emergency Department at Wirral University Teaching Hospital.

The delivery of safe and effective care is at the forefront of our goals and objectives.

Main duties of the job

Provides personal care to patients e.g. bathing, toileting, feeding and care of the dying.

Works in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.

Demonstrates own duties to new starters and others as appropriate.

Observes patients and reports any changes to a Registered Nurse.

Performs basic observation processes by using automated devices for temperature, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturations and respiratory rate.

Takes basic patient measurements e.g. height and weight.

Person Specification Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training

Level 2 in Care (or appropriate experience and commit to undertaking and completing within 18 months of commencement)

Completed Care Certificate

Experience working in a healthcare environment

Experience working in the NHS

Personal Attributes

Understand when to seek support and advice

Aware of personal and professional limitations

Ability to perform in a busy environment

Caring, polite, friendly, approachable and self-motivated

Willing to learn and develop

Knowledge and Skills

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
