The Children's Autism and ADHD assessment team are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to work in our assessment pathway. Whilst experience is beneficial, we are keen to find a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about neurodiversity and who wants to support young people through a positive assessment process.
Your role will be to complete Autism and ADHD assessments as part of the MDT and at times take the lead clinician role. You will be supported by the Senior Clinical Psychologist as well as senior clinicians in the wider team. The team is made up of Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Specialist Nurses, and Community Paediatricians.
There will also be the opportunity to contribute to training and education, work alongside partner organisations, and support the development of pre and post-diagnostic work.

The post-holder will be a post-graduate qualified Clinical Psychologist with HCPC registration. This post is suitable for a newly qualified Clinical Psychologist who is looking to work with Neurodivergent Children and Young People.
The post-holder will provide clinical assessments of Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) for Children and Young people. They will work within the multi-disciplinary team to provide evidence-based assessments in line with NICE guidance and be expected to be the lead practitioner for some assessments.
The post-holder will contribute to wider multi-agency discussions and meetings to discuss individual cases and collaborative working across Community Paediatrics and partner services e.g. CAMHS.
The post-holder will contribute to service development and research under the supervision of the Senior Clinical Psychologist to continuously work towards providing an improved service to the children and young people in Essex. This may include pre and post-diagnostic work as well as training to key partners such as education settings.
