Clinical Psychologist - CAMHS service Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum depending on experience Location: Blackburn Hours: Monday - Friday / 0900am - 1700pm

Summary Appoint Healthcare is proud to partner with a leading national provider of health and social care services for young people and adults with neurological, mental health needs, and learning disabilities. We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join a CAMHS service that specializes in supporting children aged 13 - 18 with mental health problems, located in Accrington, near Blackburn and close to Preston.

Your working environment The role is based at the head office. Interventions will be offered at head office and also across 2 x 10 bedded therapeutic services, 2 solo placements and 2 step down placements on one site. As a company, they work primarily with young people who have complex trauma and/or additional social, emotional and mental health needs. Referrals come from various sources, predominantly Children's Social Care and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.

Duties and responsibilities Work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team for children and young people, within the clinical governance structures and protocols of the service. Formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of emotional and behavioural disorders in children, young people and families, based upon an evidence-based conceptual framework. Develop and implement a range of psychological interventions with a particular focus on attachment, neurobiology, emotion regulation, dissociation, behaviour, cognitive processing and self-concept. Evaluate and make decisions about treatment options considering both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical, environmental and developmental processes. Synthesize clinical material and provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals. Contribute directly and indirectly to a psychologically-informed framework of understanding and care. Undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients. Contribute to and implement policy changes and developments. Communicate effectively in a skilled and sensitive manner regarding assessment, formulation, and treatment plans. Provide knowledge, advice and support to facilitate effective psychological care. Undertake all work sensitive to the needs of children and young people and their families/carers from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements A relevant qualification and HCPC registration. A valid HCPC registration with no restrictions or referrals. Eligibility to live and work in the UK. A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Clinical Psychologist in the UK. Strong team-working skills. A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach.
