We are looking for a clinical psychologist with experience in CBT or DBT, and an interest in developing towards adherence in both models. We are also interested in clinical psychologists with experience or interest in other third wave therapies such as CFT or ACT. Training in DBT will be provided by a consultant DBT trainer; training in CBT for personality disorder will be provided by BABCP accredited staff. Opportunities exist for training in other third wave CBT therapies.
IMPART is closely linked to the psychology department at University College London, and staff participate in supporting the doctorate in clinical psychology through reflective practice facilitation, teaching, and research. IMPART staff benefit from a wide range of CPD available through UCL.
IMPART was one of the three IAPT SMI demonstration sites for NHS England, and we continue to expand the evidence base for effective services.
We work with a hybrid model, allowing staff to combine working on site with virtual working, thus supporting a better work/life balance.
Responsibilities:
Managing the IMPART referrals for one of the four NELFT boroughs Line managing 3-4 IMPART staff Negotiating for the needs of IMPART staff and clients Participating in the management of IMPART Processing complaints in a timely manner Providing specialist assessments and interventions Offering a range of psychological therapy models of treatment to clients with a personality disorder. Providing consultation and advice to members of own team and other teams on psychological therapy models of PD Providing consultation and advice on risk assessment and risk management of clients with PD Providing training and supervision to staff within IMPART and across NELFT on effective working with individuals with difficulties consistent with PD. Participating in research into PD. Taking the lead on agreed audits. Developing areas of expertise within the service and take the lead on developing and monitoring processes for this area. Supporting the data collection for IMPART Developing new clinical materials for clients, families and staff Providing guidance and support in both the physical and virtual delivery of therapy Participating in SUI processes as they arise Supervising clinical trainees and apprentices as requested
Probationary Period:

Starting with NELFT:
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London:
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of basic salary, with a minimum of £4,551 and maximum of £5,735, pro rata for part time staff.
