We are currently supporting a Learning Disabilities and Autism service who are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist within the Cumbria or surrounding area, who has worked in a Learning Disability environment. With either Full or Part-time opportunities available supporting either service. Main Duties Include
Reporting directly to the Lead Psychologist. Responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT working and risk assessments. Facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and requested to design and deliver training. Area Of Experience Required
You will have experience and knowledge in carrying a service user’s caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support their care plans. Experience working in a Learning Disability environment. Participating in the assessment of referrals, and to provide initial assessment service users referred to the service. Undertaking high quality direct (assessment & therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions and making autonomous clinical decisions. Working therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, undertake the assessments using a broad range of structured psychometric and semi-structured clinical methods. Formulating and implementing plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of patients’ mental health needs based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence-based best practice. Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care. Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines and Company Policies and Procedures. Qualifications Required
You'll need: To have BPS recognised psychology degrees UK HCPC registration. To have Chartered Psychologist status and appropriate post-graduate qualifications. To be an approved supervisor within the guidelines of the BPS and relevant division. To have understanding of evidence-based psychological practice. To have experience of applying psychological knowledge to a Learning Disabilities and Autism setting. To be experienced working with clients with cognitive deficits. To have previous experience of conducting research and project working.
