Job Title:

Clinical Psychologist Responsibilities: Provide specialist psychological/therapeutic assessments of service users referred to the stroke service pathway using various data sources. Formulate and implement treatment plans based on evidence-based methods across various care settings. Engage in individual, family, and group therapy with service users experiencing complex psychological issues. Evaluate treatment options considering theoretical and therapeutic models. Exercise professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment, and discharge of service users under psychologically based care plans. Provide specialist psychological/therapeutic advice and consultation to other professionals. Conduct risk assessments and manage risk for service users, advising other professionals as needed. Coordinate complex intervention plans involving service users and their support network. Communicate effectively regarding assessment, formulation, and treatment plans. Receive and provide clinical supervision in accordance with professional guidelines. Contribute to the teaching and training of clinical psychology. Engage in service development and governance through research and evaluation. Manage the work of assistant psychologists and participate in recruitment processes. Respond to referrals and contribute to multidisciplinary decision-making. Implement policies and propose changes to improve psychological services. Utilise evidence-based literature to support practice and supervise research projects. Provide care in the least restrictive environment, considering risks involved. Requirements: Current UK professional registration. Experience in psychological assessments and treatment. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
