Synairgen is a respiratory company developing SNG001, a broad-spectrum antiviral offering potential against a range of respiratory viruses, including common cold, flu and coronaviruses, which can lead to critical illness. By delivering SNG001 directly into the lungs as an aerosol we aim to boost and/or restore the lungs' antiviral responses to clear the virus and improve patients’ outcomes. We will be running a large Phase 2 trial in patients requiring mechanical ventilation due to respiratory viral infections. These seriously ill patients face mortality rates of between 25% and 45%, and with SNG001, we are looking to demonstrate a significant reduction in mortality. We are looking forward to conducting this clinical trial, and are seeking to recruit a Clinical Research Associate II to join our Clinical Operations Team. The role

The Clinical Research Associate II will work within the Clinical Operations team, carrying out and completing tasks associated with Synairgen’s clinical trials. This is a home-based UK role, ideally located in the North East of England. We are looking for an individual who has a minimum of 2 years monitoring experience and experience of performing feasibility work, setting up sites for Clinical Trials, including contract negotiation, conducting initiation visits, performing monitoring visits and all aspects of site management as well as close out activities. The role holder may also assist with the preparation, review and submission of local and central ethics submissions. Preferably the successful candidate should have experience in clinical trials within the respiratory, infectious disease or the intensive care setting. They must have good organisational and communication skills, be a team player with the ability to work unsupervised and have good general IT skills. To apply
