5th January 2025 Bay Medical Group is looking to recruit a Clinical Research Nurse. We seek an exceptional Nurse who is driven to ensure excellent care for our patients. Join us and try something new! Main duties of the job

The main role of the Primary Care Clinical Research Nurse is to facilitate and support a portfolio of NIHR research studies at Bay Medical Group. You will identify possible new studies, conduct feasibility assessments, set up studies, screen, recruit and consent participants, implement clinical procedures, collect data, and maintain records. You will have a key role in supporting participants throughout their involvement in a study. You will actively promote research and work collaboratively with the practice team to embed and support research activity, encouraging patients to participate in suitable studies. You must have a registered nursing qualification. Experience in practice/community nursing is desirable. Ideally, you will have knowledge of Asthma, Diabetes, CHD, Family Planning, and cytology. This role is suitable for someone looking to develop their nursing experience and apply their clinical skills in research within a primary care setting. You should be highly motivated and eager to provide patients/service users with opportunities to participate in research studies that will contribute to effective future care. This position is for 8 hours per week and is a fixed-term position, funded via the Research Delivery Networks until 31st March 2025. Bay Medical Group is proud to serve the population of Morecambe and Heysham, operating out of 5 sites and delivering general medical services to approximately 54,000 patients. Formed in 2016/17 by established legacy practices, we are fortunate to be a single at-scale provider in a distinct geographical area, having established the Primary Care Network (PCN) for Morecambe and Heysham in July 2019, with Bay Medical Group as the only Practice in the PCN.
