Child and Young Persons Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) 0-18 team . This exciting opportunity involves working with children and young people experiencing a range of mental health difficulties and providing specialist occupational therapy interventions as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
What we are looking for: Essential qualifications : Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration. Experience : demonstrable experience Skills : Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to engage young people and families effectively. Conduct interventions that promote skill development in areas such as self-care, school participation, & social integration, enabling young people to manage the impact of their mental health on daily functioning. Actively participate in care planning, offering expert advice on adaptations & strategies to support recovery & promote resilience. Offer training, advice, & consultation to colleagues, families & external agencies on the role of occupational therapy in mental health, helping to build capacity & enhance outcomes for young people. Contribute to the development & pathways of the wider occupational therapy service within CYPMHS. Contribute to service development & innovation, ensuring that the occupational therapy service is evidence-based, cost-effective & aligned with best practices and CYPMHS guidelines. About us
