We are looking for a part-time (34 hours per week) dynamic and highly skilled clinician experienced in all aspects of medical inpatient rehabilitation. A forward-thinking clinician with the skills to combine highly specialist clinical practice with innovation, you will be committed to following best practice and the promotion of high-quality physiotherapy services. The successful post holder needs to be flexible, motivated, and committed to putting the patient's strengths, voice, choice, and control at the center of any interventions. As the clinical specialist for the acute medical wards, you will have demonstrable leadership qualities, excellent communication and time management skills with proven abilities to build networks across sites and disciplines. Through your knowledge of emerging clinical advances within the specialty, you will be expected as part of the senior clinical inpatient team to advise the Operational Manager and Senior Management team to inform future service development. Main Duties of the Job
The post is based in the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, but may support other sites within ABUHB if the service needs require. The post holder will clinically lead a team of static and rotational staff, HCSW, and students. They will work closely with the clinical lead and band 7's across the neighborhood (Newport and Torfaen) and ABUHB wide. The successful candidate will be expected to provide training, education, supervision, and appraisal for staff and students, locally and across the service. As part of the role, you will contribute to the development of professional practice and the transformation and evaluation of service delivery and support research and innovation agenda.
