Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Support Workers to join our forward-thinking Endoscopy team. You will be committed to going the extra mile and passionate about ensuring high standards of care are delivered to your patients and be flexible to meet service needs as we move towards a 7-day service. Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Support Worker to work in the Endoscopy department. Appropriate training will be given as required. Post holders will be appointed at band 2 or band 3 depending upon qualifications. Band 2 requirements:

willingness to undertake all relevant training and qualifications if wishing to develop into a band 3 role. Band 3 requirements: Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 or GCSE equivalent (A-C/4-9) Care certificate Level 3 vocational qualification or Short courses and completion of competency workbook equivalent to Level 3 in a range of patient and clinical care duties Equivalent knowledge and experience in a range of clinical care duties equivalent to Level 3 Theoretical knowledge Experience of a range of care and related procedures Clinical observations Knowledge of relevant legislation There is a clear framework to allow for postholders to develop from a band 2 to band 3 and this includes completion of the qualifications. Main duties of the job We require individuals that are committed and enthusiastic Clinical Support Workers to work in this busy expanding Endoscopy teams and work across sites as required. The post holders will be expected to work with the Endoscopy team providing specialist care for Endoscopy patients pre, peri, and post procedure. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and work closely with all members of multi-disciplinary teams, meet the person specification, and be able to perform under pressure. Applicants must be willing to complete the in-house competency training. This vacancy will close once sufficient applications have been received. About us South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff. This training programme has been designed to support our staff in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the following training sessions: Your Leadership Impact, Service Improvement for Beginners. After you complete these one and a half days of training, you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities. Knowledge and Skills (Both) Essential Insight into behaviours and skills of a carer and the need for effective teamwork. Awareness of GDPR and the need for confidentiality. Desirable Familiarity with current NHS and social care policies. Working knowledge of STHFT policies and procedures.
