An exciting opportunity for a B7 Clinical Team Manager to join the Health & Justice, Secure Outreach Transition Team. This role will provide operational leadership into an extensive multi-disciplinary team which covers Durham, Tees Valley area.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for the post holder to work in partnership with other clinical teams across the organisation, social care, across Durham Tees Valley and Provider Collaborative regionally.
The service aims to address the health inequalities experienced by people with a learning disability, who present with high-risk offending behaviour (may additionally have co-morbid Mental Health and Neuro-diverse needs).
A good understanding of transforming care principles and how this applies to the service user group and underpins service delivery is key.
Role requires good team visibility and presence across both sites.
Working hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.
Managers are expected to participate in the HJ Manager on call via a rota basis (7 days outside of core hours).
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the line management of all team members including appraisals, personal development planning and training, management of sickness absence, formal disciplinary and grievance matters, performance management, recruitment and selection decisions and high-level planning and prioritising of departmental workload.
To work positively and collaboratively in partnership with all stakeholders whilst being professionally accountable and responsible for the delivery of the clinical service.
To lead practice development and service development initiatives to ensure continual quality improvement.

Current professional registration with appropriate body in healthcare or social work or relevant professional clinical qualification (ie PWP/CWP in IAPT/Getting Help services). Be Educated to Master's level in leadership or a subject area relevant to the area of practice OR Have equivalent clinical experience to that of master's level such as working as a band 6 (or above) in relevant clinical area with significant experience - which also includes significant experience of managing people (see below under experience), together with evidence of CPD. Be trained in Clinical Supervision and Providing Clinical Supervision. Be a Recognised Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor.
